| Tasks & responsibilities |
- This position will be the lead HR resource in supporting all overall manufacturing systems and programs fulfilling manufacturing lean manufacturing and productivity goals.
- Provides specific supervisory and team consulting and coaching related to operational improvement as well as individual one-on-one problem-solving and/or improvement.
- Provides organization & people system consultation to project teams or leadership concerning major manufacturing initiatives such as Voith Excellence, quality improvement, etc.
- Serves as the lead role for labor relations, working with and expected to achieve a trusting and effective relationship with the Machinists union (IAM) & the represented employees
- Execution of standard contract articles such as shift preference, vacancies, seniority list postings, etc.
- Lead organizer and facilitator for the manufacturing and HR labor process of Mutual Interest.

| Candidate requirements |
- BS/BA in HR, Organizational Behavior, Labor Relations or related field. MBA or Masters in related field preferred.
- 5 to 8 years Human Resource experience in a union environment required.
- Candidate must be detailed oriented and proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Previous experience in ADP HRB is a plus!
- Candidate should have lean manufacturing concepts and implementation; work cell design
- Should have a strong generalist background in Human Resource functions and proven results impacting business strategy and bottom line contributions.
- Please note that this position has no direct reports but will work directly with all levels throughout the organization.
The position's primary responsibility is effective implementation and negotiation of the local Union Collective Bargaining Agreement. All matters related to excellent union relations and execution of procedures related to the shop personnel are within th |
